I received an invitation from Monique to attend a girl's night out event scheduled for mid-March during Nicole's spring break visit home from college. Arriving at Monique's, all the girls were there and everyone was laughing and enjoying each other's company. Monique pulled me off to the side and handed me a beautifully wrapped little box. Looking into Monique's eyes I could see the excitement twinkling in her eyes. Unsure why she was giving me a gift, I opened the box and inside was a beautiful silver knotted ring and a note: Will you be apart of my special day and honor me by being my bridesmaid?. Hugging Moe close I replied YES YES YES!!!
Monique, Nicole, Rachel (my sister) & I grew up together and we have always shared a very special bond. We were close in age and our mother's were sisters and also maintained a close relationship. Monique & I were born in the same year, exactly 4 months apart, which has always been a source of amusement amongst us cousins.
I am looking forward to being apart of Moe's special day with an amazing group of girls. This is going to be great ladies!!

Wedding Dress Shopping in LA
Shortly after she got engaged Moe and mom already had a trip planned to come visit me in LA! She made a couple appointments to shop for wedding dresses while she was in town. The first place was basically a dump and not at all what she thought the experience should be like. But she lucked out on the second try and found a beautiful boutique right down the street from my house. The owner was willing to let her come in for an appointment on her day off. The dresses were all so amazingly beautiful and she looked gorgeous in all of them! She fell in love with the second dress (not pictured here-just in case Tommy accidentally sees this blog) and knew it was the one! It fit her perfectly and only needs minimal alterations!

Bridesmaid's Night Out with Bobby Lee
Monique wanted to plan something special to get all her bridesmaids together and treated us all to a night at the Improv in San Jose! Bobby Lee was hilarious and strange in his own unique way and we may or may not have pushed ourselves to the front of the line to take a photo with him after the show! We also may or may not have proceeded to drink way too many cocktails after the show with Michelle at Beefys (me especially). Good times!

Will you be my Maid of Honor? Yes!
I love my ring and wear it everyday. |
When I heard the exciting news that my sis was to be married, I couldnt help but assume I would be asked to be the Maid of Honor. Its not something we ever talked about, I guess we just had an understanding, that I would be beside my best friend and sister on one of the most important days of her life. Moe and mom came to visit me in January for a fun girls weekend when she popped the question! A beautifully packaged gift with a delicate gold knotted ring inside, what was a girl to do but smile and say, "I was wondering when you were going to ask me!" :) Love you so much sister, cant wait to celebrate with you!

Sisterfriend
